| Organisers of Megaday
felt that the initial good will and support shown by Bedwas RFC
had dwindled over more recent years, so the venue for Megaday
2003 was put up for tender. It was decided
that Caerphilly RFC had returned the best bid to take Megaday
forward. The new committee
at CRFC were very proactive in their bid and offered lots of
additional support. So in August 2003 Megaday 2003 returned back to
it's birthplace.
Dragon Heart, Kubix, The Pedwar
Pimps and a Tom Jones tribute act all made their Megaday debuts.
The dance night was headlined by the Barmy boys and the Angel
hotel won the 6 a side football contest. Most importantly of all though
it was a record year donating £14,547 to Velindre
hospital.
